The Race to Secure Top Talent: NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball’s Early Signing Period Approaches

As the early signing period for NCAA Division I women’s basketball approaches, there are still numerous top players who are yet to reveal their commitments. Out of the ESPNW top 100, 21 players have not made their decisions, with five of them ranking in the top 10. Currently, Iowa stands out with its four top 100 commits, while Texas, UCLA, and USC each boast three.

When it comes to conferences, the ACC leads the pack with 16 schools securing at least one top 100 commit, closely followed by the Big 10 with 14 commitments.

The country’s top 10 recruiting classes are filled with promising players. Noteworthy names include Justice Carlton, a talented forward known for her exceptional rebounding and scoring skills, Jordan Lee, a lockdown defender, and Bryanna Preston, a speedy and agile point guard. UCLA, UConn, South Carolina, and Texas are among the other schools that have managed to gather strong recruiting classes.

With numerous highly rated recruits still weighing their options, the competition to secure these top talents only intensifies.
