Severe Knee Injury Sidelines Pittsburgh Steelers Linebacker Cole Holcomb in Thursday Night Matchup

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb suffered a severe knee injury in Thursday night’s game against the Tennessee Titans. The unfortunate incident took place in the first quarter when Holcomb was chasing wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who had just made a significant gain. Steelers safety Keanu Neal, while attempting to tackle Hopkins, accidentally collided with Holcomb’s knee. As a result, Holcomb immediately grabbed his left knee in pain and had to be taken off the field on a cart. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin expressed his worry for Holcomb and assured that updates on his condition would be provided in due course. Holcomb, who recently joined the Steelers this season, has played a significant role in the team’s linebacker rotation, contributing with 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery so far this season. He has been on the field for approximately 85% of the Steelers’ defensive snaps.
