Arizona Cardinals Make a Bold Move: Rookie Clayton Tune Takes Over as Starting Quarterback

In a surprising move, the Arizona Cardinals have made the decision to bench quarterback Joshua Dobbs and give rookie Clayton Tune the starting position for their upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns. Coach Jonathan Gannon announced this unexpected change, contradicting his previous statement that Dobbs would remain the starting quarterback. However, Gannon clarified that either Kyler Murray or Tune would start, but only if Murray was not yet ready to return from the physically unable to perform list. Murray, who suffered an ACL injury last season, has a 21-day window to be activated onto the active roster, which is about to expire. Dobbs, who has started the first eight games for the Cardinals, has struggled with a 1-7 record. So far, he has thrown for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions. Meanwhile, Tune, who was drafted from Houston in the fifth round this year, will now have the opportunity to showcase his skills as the team’s new starting quarterback.
