Sources have confirmed that the Chicago Bears have terminated their running backs coach, David Walker, due to his behavior at work. The decision was reached in conjunction with the team’s human resources department, although an official announcement has yet to be made. This is not the first time that Walker has faced disciplinary action from the HR department, and a second incident ultimately led to his dismissal. Walker becomes the second assistant coach to depart the Bears this season, following the resignation of former defensive coordinator Alan Williams. Williams, however, left the team for personal reasons unrelated to Walker’s termination. Head coach Matt Eberflus is expected to provide further insight into the situation during a press conference scheduled for Wednesday. The Athletic first broke the news regarding Walker’s firing.
